WHAT WE DO
Kind Hearts for Kids (KH4K) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Bourne, Massachusetts, whose mission is to provide kindness, belonging, and clinically-informed skills for children and teens in foster and kinship care — because every child deserves the Courage to follow their Dreams.
Founded in 2019, KH4K delivers community-based behavioral health prevention programming to children and teens in foster care, kinship care, and grandparent-led families across Cape Cod, Wareham, Plymouth and beyond. Core activities include the NEST program — a DBT-informed coping skills curriculum for ages 8–18 — as well as trauma-informed birthday celebrations, holiday programming, and community events that foster belonging and connection for children who have experienced loss and instability. All programming is facilitated by certified practitioners under licensed clinical oversight, ensuring that services reflect current best practices in behavioral health prevention while remaining accessible, warm, and community-rooted. KH4K exists to fill the gap between clinical treatment and everyday life — meeting vulnerable children and families where they are, with the skills and support they need to thrive.
